NFL Bets Week 6 
It’s week 6 of the NFL and boy are weeks flying by. If you have been following my picks on the Sharptank, you’ll be happy to see that I went 2-1 the past 2 weeks. It’s a good feeling when you pick the right team. As per my last article from week 4, I did say that even though I started out weak I always bounce back, and this week is my comeback week.
I am currently 7-8, and I cannot wait to be +500. When I first looked at the board this week, if I’m being honest I did not like what I was seeing. There were no clear winners but after looking for about 2 more minutes I found my picks and I feel pretty good about them.
As always, for the Sharptank, I needed to pick one favorite, one underdog, and one total.
Favorite: Rams (-9)
This bet (although has a one-way ticket to square city) to me is so obvious, that I probably shouldn’t take it. But I am. If you take a look at the Giants team right now, they are injured left, right and center. If you look at the Giants depth chart, at least 4 out of the 6 WR are out this week. This means one solution, they are going to be running the ball a lot. The Rams defense simply just needs to show up and they should run over this team. Yes, the Giants have been looking decent this year but let’s not forget they are still the Giants. Their defense gave up 44 points to the Cowboys last week and I’m just hoping they do the same to the Rams.
Underdog: Washington Football Team (+7)

The Washington Football Team are:
- 5-3 against the spread at home
- 8-5 when they are underdogs
- Overall record of 9-7 against the spread
The Chiefs are:
- 6-8 at away games when favorites
- Overall record of 7-9 against the spread
This might be the hottest take I have ever written but were we too quick to label the Chiefs are the best team in football?
I think we hold the Chiefs to a pedestal that they are this amazing team that must win every game. But in their last few games, the offense has been wishy-washy and the defense is currently ranked LAST. If the defense can’t stop the WFT team from scoring points, then it’s up to the Chiefs offense. With CEH and possibly Tyreek Hill, this could hurt Patrick Mahomes because he relies on them for targets. The WFT is also retiring Sean Taylor’s jersey at a home game. It’s written in the stars for the WFT here. Not to mention that 79% of the bets are on the Chiefs… fade the public is a strategy that works.
Total: Cowboys and Patriots O51.5
If you read my last betting article, I said that I hate betting totals and normally just pick randomly. Well, this week is different. This bet to me is a no-brainer. Since the season started the Cowboys haven’t scored less than 20 points and in their last three games, their final scores were 44, 36, and 41. Both of these teams have a good offense and defensively are meh. If the Cowboys keep on track and put up at least 30 points, the Patriots will keep up. The Patriots are at home and they aren’t going to lose 4 straight home games in a row. I predict a final score of 30-27 Cowboys.
