PointsBet Sportsbook Bonuses

PointsBet Sportsbook has set itself apart from Caesars Sportsbook, BetMGM, and others in the sports betting market thanks to its numerous great promotions, including:

Name a Bet

As simple as it sounds. PointsBet allows users to request a bet they’d like to wager on, and the sportsbook prices it and makes it available. Note that PointsBet reserves the right not to make every named bet available, so while this is a great feature, not every user who names a bet will get to wager on it. Sometimes, the turnaround on creating the wager isn’t in time for the event.

No Rollover Requirements

If you take advantage of a deposit match bonus, you only have to wager that match once before you’re able to withdraw. Some other sportsbooks call this a “play-through” and require it up to 25x the original deposit, making it quite difficult for casual players to ever realize the full benefit of the bonus. PointsBet’s No Rollover feature is a huge boon for casual players who can make the most of every dollar.

Partial Cash Out

This is a nice twist on the traditional cash-out, which allows the user to take an early payout if it appears the wager will go in his favor. With the partial cash out option, you can take a portion of your available cash-out and use the rest to finish out the bet. Users can pocket some of their original stake and potentially win some additional money on their original wager. Who doesn’t love double-dipping?

Rewards Program

PointsBet users accumulate rewards using the following structure:

  • Fixed odds wagers: 1 point earned for every $5 wagered
  • Parlay wagers: 1 point earned for every $1 wagered
  • PointsBetting wagers: 1 point earned for every $1 wagered

Rewards can be redeemed for:

  • 250 points = $2.50 Free Bet Credit
  • 500 points = $5 Free Bet Credit
  • 1,000 points = $10 Free Bet Credit
  • 2,500 points = $25 Free Bet Credit
  • 5,000 points = $50 Free Bet Credit
  • 10,000 points = $100 Free Bet Credit
  • 50,000 points = $500 Free Bet Credit
  • 100,000 points = $1,000 Free Bet Credit

PointsBetting

The PointsBetting feature is the sportsbook’s flagship promotion and the one that differentiates it from the competition. Essentially, you’re betting per point, and it works like this:

Let’s say you bet $1 on the Chiefs to cover the spread at -7 against the Broncos. The Chiefs win by 10, so you get a payout multiplier of 3x, which equals $3. The Chiefs won by three more points than the seven they needed to cover, and each additional point paid your stake.

Now let’s say the Chiefs lose by 15. In that case, you’ll lose 22x your initial stake, which equals $22. That’s because the Chiefs lost by 22 more points than what they needed to cover.

As you can tell, there’s potential to win and lose in a big way, especially if you’re betting more than $1 per point. PointsBet lets you lock in your maximum wager, so in this instance, you can select $2. In the first example, the Chiefs won by 10 which gives a max payout of 3x, but because you set the max at $2, you can only win that much.

In the second example, the most you can lose is also $2, so while you fell short of the max profit by $1 when the Chiefs won, you saved a $20 loss when the Chiefs lost big. Keep in mind that you must have at least the max amount of the wager in your account in order to make it. This will cover you if the wager loses.

PointsBet Sportsbook New York

New York online sports betting launched on January 24, 2022, and PointsBet was one of nine sportsbooks available to bettors in the Empire State. There are no retail locations for PointsBet in New York at this time but given the market has only been open for such a short time, we can expect PointsBet to open one in the near future.
