Caesars Sportsbook Opens Two Retail Sites in Arizona
Caesars Sportsbook has made another notable addition in the Arizona sports betting scene. The Caesars Sportsbook has officially opened two new retail wagering locations in Arizona in less than a week. The two new in-person betting locations include the Arizona Downs horse track, and Chase Field, which happens to be only the second Major League Baseball stadium with in-person sports betting.
BetMGM partnered with the Houston Astros earlier this year despite Texas online sports betting not being legal yet in the state. When Texas does offer legalized sports betting a retail location could be in the works, potentially making them the third MLB stadium with in-person sports betting.
Caesars Sportsbook Expands Options in Arizona
As of June 21, sports bettors in Arizona can officially begin placing their wagers in person at Caesars new retail location. Chase Field in Phoenix Arizona, is one of Caesars’ new homes when in comes to in-person sports betting. A perfect location opened up directly across from the main entrance of Chase Field and was too good for Caesars not to jump at the opportunity. Fans will also have the opportunity to place their wagers at Prescott Valley, Arizona Downs horse tracks. The tracks will include two sports betting kiosks along with many other opportunities.

Fans now have the opportunity to place their bets at one of nine betting windows and 13 self-service betting kiosks. Caesars held an opening event on June 21 where Caesars, Arizona Diamondbacks representatives and fans had the chance to taste the new menu and place the ceremonial first bets.
What makes the addition of these retail betting locations so exciting is how Caesars has integrated them with their app and mobile sports betting. Every time a bettor places their wager on the app, they are rewarded with credits which can be redeemed for a variety of different things. Some of which include VIP experiences with Chase Field, the Diamondbacks, and their now affiliated retail sports betting location.

Along with Arizona, a few other states such as New York, Illinois, and New Jersey have in-person sports betting locations too. Caesars offer in person sports betting at Point Place Casino in New York, Grand Victoria Casino in Illinois, and at Harrah’s Resort in New Jersey. Although only a few states are offering in person betting, there is a vast majority of states as well as Canadian provinces that offer Caesars online sports betting. Some of these places include Colorado, Tennessee, Michigan, and Ontario sports betting markets to name a few.

What’s Next?
When asked about the plans for Chase Field and their now in person sports betting location, CEO of the D-backs Derrick Hall had a few ideas. Hall explained how the partnership between them and Caesars has created a whole world of opportunities. The D-backs are hoping for the Phoenix retail sports betting location to become the hot spot for all kinds of sports betting. Hall explained how he hopes apart from baseball, the new location will attract fans during popular sports betting times such as the Super Bowl, March Madness, and more. Creating a central sports betting hot spot in Arizona.
With sports betting recently signed into law in Kansas as well as Ohio, it’s only a matter of time before Caesars will be available for bettors of those states. It is expected Caesars, along with other sportsbooks will be available when Ohio online sports betting launches late in 2022. As for Kansas, the legal sports betting process does not begin until July 1. However Caesars will more than likely not be too far behind.
