- 3 NFL DFS Wide Receiver options for Week 3 this Sunday
- Can Amon-Ra St. Brown continue his historic run?
- Read below to find out the best Wide Receiver picks for the 50K Sunday Smash contest
Welcome to Week 3 NFL DFS at OwnersBox! It was a wild Week 2, where we saw Tua, Hill, and Waddle absolutely explode, basically mandating you to have the three players in your lineup to have any chance at taking down a tournament. As Tua was one of the players I wrote up as a SuperFlex play last week, I had quite a good amount of exposure. However, I failed to double stack the three of them together, and for those who did, it was a huge payday. Let’s look to find the best NFL DFS wide receivers for Week 3, who could potentially be last week’s Hill or Waddle.
NFL DFS Wide Receiver Week 3 Picks
Player | Salary | Opponent |
Stefon Diggs | $6,800 | MIA |
Amon-Ra St. Brown | $6,200 | MIN |
Jaylen Waddle | $6,000 | BUF |

DFS WR #1: Stefon Diggs – $6,800
It does not take a high level of analysis to explain why Stefon Diggs is a problem for any defense and secondary he faces. The connection that Diggs has formed with Quarterback Josh Allen is debatably second to none in the NFL right now. Throw in the fact that Gabe Davis is at serious risk to miss this game, and we may see a spot where Diggs can absolutely feast on high volume, creating immense upside in tournaments.

Pairing Diggs and Allen will be common, so don’t be afraid to play him alone either. This game has fantasy goodness written all over it, and as we will discuss later in the article, it is a spot I want to be heavily overweight on in tournaments. Look for Diggs to continue his dominance Sunday in Miami.
DFS WR #2: Amon-Ra St. Brown – $6,200
In DFS, sometimes we overcomplicate the decision-making process, and rightfully so. Sometimes, there are very straightforward plays that you need not overthink, and that is what we have with Amon-Ra this week as one of our top NFL DFS wide receivers to target.
Amon-Ra St. Brown is now the first player in NFL history to have six consecutive games with at least eight receptions and a touchdown.

Through the first two weeks, he is averaging 12 targets, hauling in 8 and 9 balls in the two contests. He seems to have a nose for the end zone as well, already cashing in three times for touchdowns. He even broke off a long run last week that also almost resulted in 6. It is safe to say that St. Brown is the Lions rising star, and without a doubt one of the hottest players in the NFL in the young season so far.
With Goff throwing his this often, and with his price still down at $6,200, just do yourself a favor and play Amon-Ra this week. As many have noted, he became the 3rd player in NFL history to have eight or more catches in eight consecutive games. This guy is the real deal, and I’ll be playing him until he either lets me down or until his price is too high. The latter is certainly not the case this week, so you’ll be sure to see him on my teams.
DFS WR #3: Jaylen Waddle – $6,000
The Dolphins put on a show on Sunday, with a historic performance from QB Tua Tagovailoa. In the process of throwing for nearly 500 yards and 6 touchdowns, Waddle was the recipient of 11 balls for 170 yards and two touchdowns, on a completely ridiculous 19 targets. While I don’t expect 19 targets again, I think this is a perfect spot for Waddle to once again have a big game against a Bills secondary that has been losing a lot of guys throughout the first two weeks.
Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle became the 2nd duo in NFL history to each have 170+ rec yds and 2+ rec TD in the same game:

Waddle: 11 REC, 171 yds, 2 TD pic.twitter.com/hrIsydZskO— CBS Sports (@CBSSports) September 18, 2022
On Monday night, we saw Bills CB Dane Jackson and S Micah Hyde both leave with neck injuries, leaving their status for Sunday up in the air. This is on top of CB Tre’Davious White already missing the start of the season, this honestly makes him and must start NFL DFS wide receivers.
There is a great possibility the Bills are down a starting safety as well as both starting corners in this spot and will be on the road against potentially the fastest WR duo in NFL history who just torched the Ravens for nearly 400 yards and 4 touchdowns.
This has a massive game for Hill/Waddle written all over it, and I will take the $700 in savings on OwnersBox with Waddle in this spot. Load up on this game, and specifically Waddle, in your OwnersBox NFL DFS contests in Week 3!
