The last week of the NFL regular season is here. While your season-long leagues ended last week, there’s still a ton of OwnersBox action to get involved in. This article will pinpoint 3 wide receivers you should be throwing in your OwnersBox and DFS lineups in Week 18.

3 Wide Receivers You Need In Week 18: DFS/OwnersBox Contests

Pick #1: Jaylen Waddle vs. New England Patriots (OwnersBox Salary: $5,900)

Jaylen Waddle has made his case as one of the best young receivers in the league. This season, Waddle has 99 catches (133 targets), with 988 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. Over the last 3 weeks, however, Waddle has struggled a bit compared to some of his past performances. Waddle has 13 catches (19 targets) for 139 yards and 1 touchdown in this span. The result of this is that his cost in Week 18 has dropped below $6,000 on OwnersBox.

This is where we take action. Although New England is one of the top defenses in the league, Waddle is seeing nearly 20% of the team’s pass attempts in the red zone this season. On top of that, he is boasting a 23% target share. OwnersBox fantasy football writer, Tyler MacKillop, has Waddle ranked just outside the top-20 this week. With a price tag of under $6,000, this is one of my no-brainer plays for Week 18.

Pick #2: Brandin Cooks vs Tennessee Titans (OwnersBox Salary: $6,000)

While the Houston Texans are one of the worst teams in the NFL, Brandin Cooks is a wide receiver who has quietly had a great year. Cooks leads the team in nearly all receiving categories, with 87 catches (130 targets), 1,011 receiving yards, and 6 touchdowns. Cooks has a whopping 25.3% target share on all team pass attempts and a 21% red zone target share. In his last 3 games, Cooks has 22 receptions for 269 yards and three touchdowns.

At $6,000, I’m taking a run at Brandin Cooks in Week 18. This week, Cooks faces a Tennessee Titans defense that ranks 25th in pass defense this season. Towards the back half of the year, Davis Mills has found a way to get the ball in Cooks’ hands, as he’s seen double-digit targets in 3 straight games. Since Cooks has joined the Texans, he has seen great success against the Titans. He has had at least a touchdown in each game in four matchups, including multiple in one of those games.

Pick #3: Christian Kirk vs Seattle Seahawks (OwnersBox Salary: $5,700)

Christian Kirk has been propelled into a key role in the Arizona Cardinals offense since the DeAndre Hopkins injury. This week the Cardinals face off against a Seahawks defense that ranks last in the NFL against the pass. Since Hopkins has left the field, Kirk has taken advantage of his opportunity. In his last 3 games, he has averaged 74 yards per game. Last week, against a solid Cowboys defense, Kirk posted 6 receptions for 79 yards.

I like Kirk’s chances to have another solid game against the Seahawks. I think his ceiling this week is high and we could see him top the century mark in yards and even find the endzone. I’m quite surprised that his salary is only $5,700 this week on OwnersBox. Considering his recent performance and the very favorable matchup this week, I would be throwing him in all your lineups.
