3 Bang for Your Buck Players
This article is all about players who will perform or potentially outperform their salary price.
QB – Dak Prescott, $7,500 vs. Chiefs
Dak Prescott has been one of the most reliable quarterbacks this season when healthy. Even after missing a week and having a bye week, Prescott is still a top 10 quarterback on the season. This past week, Prescott quickly made a struggling Falcons defense and is set up for another big week against the worst pass defense in the league with the Chiefs. Even though the Chiefs looked more like their old selves last week, they still faced an offense who just lost one of their main receiving options and who have dealt with a lot as an organization overall. The Cowboys should be motivated after they demolish the Falcons. With Lamb finally showing up last week, I expect another big week for Prescott and the Cowboys offense. He is well worth his price of $7,500, and I could easily see him as the number one quarterback this coming week. Be ready for an exciting battle of offenses between the Cowboys and the Chiefs.
RB – Joe Mixon, $6,400 vs. Raiders
After several up and down seasons, many people wrote off Joe Mixon as a good running back to have on their team. This year, however, Mixon has officially distinguished himself as a solid play every week. In the SuperFlex salary cap contests, Mixon has averaged around 25 fantasy points per game and has looked good running the ball, and has become a solid receiving option for Burrow to go to when needed. The impressive receiving targets increase Mixon’s value along with his touchdown upside in the red zone. While defenses are primarily focused on the main receiving trio on Chase, Higgins, and Boyd, this opens up the opportunity for Mixon to excel. Mixon has had a solid rushing season and is now a top 5 ranked running back in fantasy. The Raiders are middle of the pack against the run, while their passing defense is much better. I expect Mixon to be heavily utilized this week and should be an excellent selection for your SuperFlex Salary Cap lineup.
WR – Brandon Aiyuk, $4,800 vs. Jaguars
Coming into the season, nearly every expert viewed Brandon Aiyuk as the number one receiving option for the 49ers, which was quickly shut down by the unbelievable productivity of Deebo Samuel. Aiyuk looked utterly horrible until a couple of weeks ago. It was evident that Aiyuk was in Shanahan’s dog house and struggled to get out until now. His production had quickly risen from receiving around 4 targets a game to 8 last week, and I fully expect him to receive something similar this week. Jimmy G has looked okay, which is good enough for Aiyuk’s productivity to continue. I do not think he will have an incredible week, but for the price of $4,800, he’s worth a shot.
