What NFL team you should cheer for based on your zodiac sign

Football season is upon us. In just under 50 days, Sundays won’t be scary anymore but will purely be for football. Meaning it’s time to start planning what team you should cheer for. Picking a team can be a stressful experience because you want to be sure you pick the right one. This is why I turned to science to help you decide, except it’s not actually science at all, it’s astrology signs.

Let’s see what team you should cheer for this year, shall we?

Capricorn (December 21 – January 20)

Denver Broncos

If you’re a Capricorn, the Denver Broncos is the team for you. Capricorns, like the Broncos, don’t like to seek attention. They also manage a solid balance of fun and responsible. The Broncos are a perfect mix of this. They’ll be a team that remains consistent but also could eventually have the potential to make it to the playoffs allowing you to have a little fun.

Aquarius (January 19 – February 18)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Aquarius gives off “I don’t give a fuck” energy, so what better team than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You tend to always feel like outcasts, and with Tom Brady as the quarterback, your team will be hated by all other fanbases. Aquariuses also actually believe in conspiracy theories, and the Tom Brady conspiracy theory is the biggest of them all.

Pisces (February 18 -March 20)

Buffalo Bills

Pisces are overly emotional, which means you need a stable team. You can’t have a team that’s going to be winning one week and losing the next. The Buffalo Bills are a solid team that will have you cheering for them for this year. Warning: there may be some emotional moments.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Kansas City Chiefs

Aries is a fire sign which means they are natural-born leaders and love to be number one. So there’s no better team for you than the Kansas City Chiefs. They also like to dive headfirst into challenges and with Patty Mahomes as your guy, you’ll have all the confidence heading into this season.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Seattle Seahawks

I can’t think of a more perfect team for a Taurus. Taurus’s are known for being patient and understanding. The Seattle Seahawks are a good team with the potential to go far, but if they don’t, then Taurus won’t be too upset. They won’t mind waiting until next year as they understand it takes time to win a championship.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Pittsburgh Steelers

Everyone knows the stereotypes about Geminis – two-faced people. Well, I’m not here to necessarily debunk that theory but I do think Geminis deserve better. When I asked my coworkers to describe the Pittsburgh Steelers they all said “frauds” but Donnie Druin, writer for sports illustrated describes them as “rejuvenating”. And I think actually both of these statements really sums up how people see the Gemini sign.

Cancer (June 22-July 23)

New York Jets

Cancers are classic people. They don’t need no bullshit and you pretty much know exactly what you’re gonna get with them. This is exactly why the New York Jets are perfect for cancers to cheer for. Cancers are old souls and the Jets are also a part of the OG NFL teams, so really it’s a perfect fit.

Leo (July 24- August 23)

Dallas Cowboys

Okay, so Leo’s are the coolest, funniest, and probably the best sign (no bias here, I promise). But also by me saying that just solidifies that Leo’s team is the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys fanbase is obnoxious, loud, and crazy, and that’s the same adjectives you’d use for a Leo.

Virgo (August 24-September 22)

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are the team for Virgos. Virgos are perfectionists, which is perfect because last year the team’s record was 8 wins and 8 losses. That’s a nice, aesthetic even number. They’re also shy, picky, and logical. What’s more logical than cheering for a team that lives in the gambling capital of the US.

Libra (September 23-October 23)

Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are a fun, vibrant team just like Libras. Libras are social butterflies and charming but also can be a wild child. Libras know how to have a good time so there’s no better team fo them to be a fan of than one in Miami.

Scorpio (October 23-November 22)

New England Patriots

Oh, Scorpios, one of the most serious of signs. Which is why their team needs to be sophisticated and high intensity. No other team name screams seriousness more than the Patriots do.
