- San Francisco are 4-point favorites in the Cowboys vs 49ers odds
- Read below to lock in the best NFL betting pick for the Divisional round
This game is the perfect matchup to wrap up the divisional round. The Cowboys are coming into San Francisco off of a dominant victory in Tampa Bay and although they are on a much shorter week, they will certainly give Brock Purdy and the 49ers all they can handle. We’ll get into the Cowboys vs 49ers odds and much more before delving into a pick.
Brock Purdy has been one of the more surprising storylines in the NFL and since taking over as the starter, he has accounted for 1,374 yards and 13 touchdowns. Purdy also shined in his first career playoff game, where he threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns. The question now becomes whether or not Purdy is due for regression or will he continue to thrive under Kyle Shanahan’s scheme.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Outlook
Don’t look now but the Dallas Cowboys are coming off of their most complete win of the season in which they routed Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Sure, Dak Prescott led the NFL in interceptions this season but when he plays a clean game, the Cowboys are a hard team to beat. As we sit here heading into the divisional round the question must be asked… Will we get the Cowboys of last week or will we see the Cowboys who lost by 20 to the Commanders the week prior.
I could be wrong here but I am predicting the Cowboys to show up with a similar performance to last week. The craziest part about that might just be whether or not that’s good enough to beat “Mr. Irrelevant” and the 49ers. I’m not so sure it will be but if they can be disruptive on defense and make Purdy earn it, the upset is definitely on the table. The Cowboys had 54 sacks and 33 takeaways this season and to earn a trip to the NFC Championship, they will need to win the turnover battle on Sunday.
San Francisco 49ers Betting Outlook
After a slow start against the Seahawks last week, the 49ers turned it on and proved why they are an offensive force. Whether it was Deebo Samuel or Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers found success both through the air and on the ground. The way this 49ers offense runs is a recipe for success in the playoffs and even if they don’t start fast, you can guarantee they will eventually break through after wearing down the opponent. With an embarrassment of riches surrounding Brock Purdy, it feels as though Kyle Shanahan has the ability to get creative when they need a play and as of late, that creativity has not been stopped.
In case the offensive power wasn’t enough, the 49ers also boast the leagues #1 ranked defense. To put it simply, this team is and has been hitting on all cylinders for quite some time and although the Cowboys do present them with challenges on both sides of the ball, expect the 49ers to play well enough to advance to the NFC Championship.
Cowboys vs 49ers Pick and Prediction
The money is coming in on the 49ers and the over. After seeing the over go 5-1 in the Wild Card round I am steering clear of the total here, with a lean to the over. Instead, I am focusing on Deebo Samuel, who I believe is in line for a big day. Coming off 165 total yards against the Seahawks, the receiving yards line being set at 54.5 is just too low. Deebo is going to be used early and often in this matchup and when the 49ers need a closer, Samuel will be there.
Best Bet: Deebo Samuel Over 54.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
