After some uncertainty due to Hurricane Ian, this Super Bowl LV rematch between the Buccaneers and Chiefs will be held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay on Sunday night. Both of these teams are coming off of Week 3 losses and there are a ton of conflicting trends in this one. Tampa Bay has moved to short 1-point home favorites in the Chiefs vs Buccaneers odds as we head towards Sunday.
Before diving into the game I do want to make it known that the Sunday night weather in Tampa Bay is going to be clear and calm. This game has held a wait-and-see approach in reference to betting all week, but with some clarity on the weather report, I feel confident in going ahead with a few bets for Sunday Night Football.

Kansas City Chiefs Betting Outlook
The Kansas City Chiefs come into this primetime matchup off of a loss on the road to the Indianapolis Colts a week ago. Although many predicted the Colts would show up last Sunday, the way the Chiefs lost is very concerning to me. Combining inopportune penalties with an offense that struggled to move the ball, Mahomes and the Chiefs showed that they are far more vulnerable than they have been over recent years.
As we do turn to Week 4, the Chiefs and more specifically Mahomes will look to turn the page on the Colts, and if history does repeat itself, we should see a solid bounce back from this team. Since becoming the starter, Mahomes is 12-3 off of a loss and has shown his ability to produce big games in big moments.
In an essential pick em’ spot, I do lean towards backing the road team here, but the margins are incredibly close. The Buccaneers are the best defense Mahomes will face this season and because of that, I steered away from betting a side in the Chiefs vs Buccaneers odds.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Outlook
Well, we are in a predicament here with both of these quarterbacks coming off of losses. As mentioned above, there are a ton of conflicting trends in this one and the major one is both of these quarterbacks and their ability to bounce back. After regular season losses in his career, Tom Brady holds a 53-15 record the following week, and this is why I am staying far away from picking a side here.

The Buccaneers are getting Mike Evans back from suspension and should also get Julio Jones back to restore some of Brady’s weapons. This Buccaneers offense has not been fully healthy to start the year, and it is clearly showing.
This team is averaging just 297.3 yards per game and has only scored 51 points through three games. With some skill-position guys inching back into the lineup, I do expect the Buccaneers to get going, starting Sunday night.
Chiefs vs Buccaneers Pick and Prediction
These teams are in my opinion both ready to explode offensively. Brady and Mahomes tend to play up-tempo games against one another, which hold a high entertainment value, and although primetime unders have been the move this season, I think we see that change Sunday night.
Brady and Mahomes have faced off five times in their career and in these games, we have seen an average of 56 points scored. I may be going out on a limb here with the current state of these offenses, but when handicapping, there comes a time where you have to beat Vegas to the punch, and I do think we are getting a discounted total in this one. The over 46 (-110) in the Chiefs vs Buccaneers odds at DraftKings is locked in for a unit.
To my fantasy owners I’m sorry Touchdowns coming soon!!!!!!!
— 7⃣ Leonard Fournette (@_fournette) September 19, 2022
Turning to the touchdown scorer market has led me to one Leonard Fournette. I mean, he said it himself, touchdowns are coming, and there is no better spot than Sunday night. Fournette has 281 yards from scrimmage so far this season, but has yet to find the end zone.
He played 92% of snaps a week ago and as a clear-cut number one running back I like him to be heavily involved Sunday and in turn, find his way into the end zone at -115 in the Chiefs vs Buccaneers odds at DraftKings.
Best Picks: Chiefs/Buccaneers Over 46 (-110) DraftKings, Leonard Fournette Anytime TD (-115)
