Bengals vs Buccaneers Odds & Pick As Ohio Sports Betting Launches Soon

Dec 16- 10 min read
  • The Bengals are in Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon
  • Cincinnati are 3.5-point road favorites in the Bengals vs Buccaneers odds
  • Read below to lock in the best NFL betting picks for this game

We have arrived at the time of season where the contenders really pull away from the pretenders. The Bengals are winners of five straight and will look to continue to round into form against a Tampa Bay team who are hanging on by a thread. As a result, the Bengals vs Buccaneers odds favor the visitors from Cincinnati. We’ll dive deeper into the odds board in this one, including our best NFL betting pick for week 15.

The Buccaneers are coming off of a 35-7 loss in San Francisco and although you can never write off Tom Brady, it certainly appears he is frustrated with his offensive line. As we inch closer to game time it is important to be on the lookout for the Bengals injury report, with many important players being both DNP’s and limited in practice this week.

Bengals vs Buccaneers Odds

Team Moneyline Spread Total
Cincinnati Bengals -195 -3.5 (-110) O 44 (-110)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +165 +3.5 (-110)  U 44 (-110)

From a betting standpoint this matchup is quite interesting when you look at each teams against the spread record. Cincinnati is a league best 10-3, while the Buccaneers are a league worst 3-9-1. Tampa Bay is yet to cover at home as well, with a 0-5-1 mark.

Cincinnati Bengals Betting Outlook

We talked about the Bengals success against the spread. Not only are they tremendous ATS but they are also forming back into that powerhouse that nobody is going to want to see in January. The current issue with the Bengals and their season outlook is the fact that they are looking up to the Chiefs and the Bills in the AFC. For now, the Bengals can only control their games on a weekly basis and who knows, maybe the seeding will break right for them in a few weeks. The Bengals are expecting to get Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd back in this one and if that does indeed happen, look for the leagues 4th ranked passing attack to stay hot in Tampa.

Joe Burrow is a fantastic quarterback but as we all know, he is prone to taking sacks. The Buccaneers will have to control the line of scrimmage in this game to have a chance and a matchup I am intrigued by is the Tampa front seven and their pass rush of Burrow. If Burrow is able to take what the defense gives him I fully expect the Bengals to be able to move the ball and whether or not that results in a win and cover probably lies on the shoulders of the Bengals defense.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Outlook

Last week, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers lost to a Brock Purdy led 49ers team and the final score read 35-7. That is a sentence that is shocking in so many ways and with the Buccaneers now sitting at 6-7, they have their backs against the wall in this one. Completely opposite of the Bengals, the Buccaneers hold a 3-9-1 ATS record, which shows just how respected Brady is in the betting markets. An offense of Brady, Fournette, Evans, Jones, and Godwin are averaging 17.2 points per game, which places them as the 28th ranked offense in the league.

So, we have two teams going in different directions but the spread sits at 3.5 with no signs of moving. This line tells me the Buccaneers are in a spot to bounce back here and although I am not fully convinced that happens, to me, if you are betting a side, that is the way to go.

Bengals vs Buccaneers Pick and Prediction

No side for me in this one. Rather, we are going to the totals market and taking a chance on these offenses performing. The total sitting at only 44 is most definitely not what would be predicted if you were to make this line in late August. That being said, the line is warranted with the Buccaneers abysmal 3-10 record to the over this season.

This bet is a risk I am willing to take and I think we could see production from the Buccaneers this week. Expect Mike Evans to also have a good day and I am sprinkling his over 57.5 receiving yards for a half unit. If the right factors fall into place this low 44 total could end up being one of the better lines of the season and if these offenses reach their full potential, this bet will be in a fantastic spot to cash.

Best Bets: Over 44 (-110) 1u, Mike Evans Over 57.5 Receiving (-105) .5u
