- The Denver Broncos host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football
- Coming off of another 2-0 week last week, we move to 4-0 on the young NFL season
- Read below for our best Broncos vs 49ers betting picks
As we head into Week 3, the NFL landscape is beginning to take shape. In a battle between 1-1 teams, the 49ers are taking the road to the Mile High City where they will battle the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football, from Empower Field. These teams have had a rather unique start to the season, and in this one, we see San Francisco as 1.5-point favorites in the Broncos vs 49ers odds, with the total coming in at 44.
The 49ers have had to turn to Jimmy Garoppolo after the season-ending injury to Trey Lance. Although there has been some whispers about the San Francisco roster feeling more confident with Garoppolo under center, it remains to be seen how this team will evolve.
Let’s take a look at the Broncos vs 49ers odds as we break down our best Sunday Night Football betting pick.

San Francisco 49ers | -120 | -1.5 (-110) | O 44 (-110) |

Denver Broncos Betting Outlook
The Broncos come into Week 3 off of an opening week loss to the Seahawks and a touchdown win over the Texans. For a team who had high expectations coming into the season after the signing of Russell Wilson, they already find themselves under pressure in such a highly competitive AFC West.
The injury bug has bitten them, which has led to 11 guys on the final injury report this week, which does include 10 of them being questionable, a good sign for Sunday. After having serious fears about both Jerry Jeudy and Patrick Surtain, it appears they will be good to go against the 49ers. Russell Wilson holds a 17-4 career record against the 49ers, and although he may be in a different uniform Sunday night, that certainly does prove he gets up for these games.
You could say @DangeRussWilson knows the 49ers quite well…

Broncos fans and management are sitting here looking at their $245 million dollar investment put up just 32 points through the first two weeks and have already been faced with questions surrounding Nathanial Hackett.
This non-conference matchup has seen the Broncos go from 2.5-point favorites to 1.5-point underdogs, and although I understand the movement, I do think this is a buy-low spot on this Broncos team. In the NFL betting market, there are a few overreaction spots each week, and in Week 3, the 49ers vs Broncos odds are an example of that this week.
It may be a hold your breath bet, but it is in my opinion a great spot to see who this Broncos team is and can be this season.
San Francisco 49ers Betting Outlook
The 49ers responded in Week 2, beating the Seahawks 27-7. This response came with a major setback which saw starting quarterback Trey Lance go down with a season-ending ankle injury. Insert Jimmy Garoppolo, the same guy who was rumored to be traded all off-season is now the QB1.
Jimmy G will definitely change the outlook of this offense as a whole and although I do think they could become a better passing team, they will be a lot less dangerous to defend without the threat of Trey Lance.
Aiyuk led SF in snaps & routes Week 2…
Leading to a team-high 8 targets…
And now Jimmy Garoppolo is his QB.

With that being said, I do think some of the 49ers pass catchers will see an increase in volume with Garoppolo under center. He gets tight end George Kittle back this week, but the guy I am focused in on is Brandon Aiyuk.
Aiyuk has had a mediocre start to the season which has resulted in 103 yards through two games. But what is important to note is 63 of those yards came when Garoppolo took over against the Seahawks, which saw Aiyuk see a 33% target share.
A season ago, this duo was solid down the stretch, and I expect them to continue their chemistry in Sunday’s matchup in Denver.
Broncos vs 49ers Pick & Prediction
These teams are both in interesting spots as we head into this matchup, and I am far more confident in Wilson as a home dog than I am in this 49ers team.
I know the betting numbers and percentages are clearly favoring the road team after the line movement, but I just can’t pass up the value on Denver in the 49ers vs Broncos odds here.
Similar to last week, I am pairing my side with a prop on the opposing team, and taking Brandon Aiyuk over 48.5 receiving yards (-114) over at FanDuel. Aiyuk is in a good enough spot here where I am comfortable laying a unit on this prop and I see him getting into the 60+ receiving yard territory. After a 4-0 start to the NFL betting season, let’s cash some tickets on Sunday Night Football.
Best Picks: Broncos +1.5 (-110) BetMGM, Brandon Aiyuk Over 48.5 Receiving (-114) FanDuel
