NBA Contest Of The Week Lineup – 12/17
I have filled out my plays for our NBA Contest of The Week; let’s take a deeper look.
Cade Cunningham $7,000 x4
Malcolm Brogdon $7,500 x2
Cade Cunningham has filled the stat sheet this season, and I see no reason for it to stop. There is so much opportunity for a guard playing 35 minutes a night; even if he doesn’t score 25, he can contribute in all other categories. I can also always find the salary for a guard averaging 20/5/6, and the 2 games for Malcolm Brogdon help me hit all of the game opps at the position.
Avery Bradley $3,900 x4
Terance Mann $5,6000 x3
I understand Avery Bradley was a reach in this spot, but with where I wanted to allocate salary, I was happy to take him for 4 games and hope best ball can help us out in this spot. You never know who is going to go into COVID protocols this week, so maybe there are some more minutes spread around.
Cam Johnson $5,000 x3
Davis Bertans $3,900 x3
Cam Johnson can flat out score, and I think it’s a smash spot this week for his price. If he keeps grabbing boards, we will see his value skyrocket. I have no feelings towards Bertans. If I’m being honest, he was just the last player I could fit into this lineup.
Kristaps Porzingis $8,200 x3
Kyle Kuzma $6,500 x3
Here I am again spending up at the frontcourt position. I feel like you can find value in the backcourt, with guys being able to score, but it’s essential to hit on PF and C as it seems to be so top-heavy. Kuzma isn’t exactly a star, but 13 pts and 8 boards will play. Kristaps has been a double-double machine in December, and although he’s expensive, I think he’s well worth it.
Joel Embiid $9,500 x3
Alperen Sengun $6,1000 x4
I am addicted to spending up at the frontcourt positions. Joel Embiid is one of the best we all know, so he has a great chance to live up to his cost despite his matchups. The lovely little surprise here is Alperen Sengun. He has been great for the Rockets all around, and with Christian Wood possibly missing some time, Sengun should get some more run.
