The tall lengthy left hander is coming back SOON! I think fantasy baseball players are not valuing how good Sale can really be. Yes Tommy John can be super scary, but this is Chris Sale we are talking about. The same guy who decided to cut his White Sox jersey because he didn’t like the “fit”.
The ’76 uniforms are uncomfortable and unorthodox. I didn’t want to go out there and not be at the top of my game in every aspect that I need to be in. Not only that, but I didn’t want anything to alter mechanics.
– Chris Sale
This was an all time moment and shows how much of a gamer Chris Sale really is. I want this guy on ALL OF MY FANTASY BASEBALL TEAMS for a couple of reasons.
The Red Sox are really good
As of right now, the Red Sox have a record of 47-31, which has them first in the AL East. The Red Sox are also second in the MLB in run support, averaging 5.01 runs/game. This is an indicator that Chris Sale will have ample opportunities to get Wins for your fantasy baseball team.

The Red Sox NEED Chris Sale
The Red Sox rotation is very WEAK, if they want to make a run to a World Series title they need Chris Sale to perform. The Red Sox currently are averaging 4.0 runs/game.
- Eduardo Rodriguez (3.84 ERA)
- Martin Perez (4.60 ERA)
- Garrett Richards (4.38 ERA)
- Nick Pivetta (4.36 ERA)
- Nathan Eovaldi (3.57 ERA)
Eovaldi is currently leading the charge with his 3.57 ERA in their rotation. THEY NEED SALE. This is a good sign for fantasy owners, Sale will be relied upon to be the guy for the Red Sox.
History
Let’s take a trip down memory lane and talk about 2017,2018 Chris Sale. In 2017, Sale led the entire league in Innings Pitched (214.1 IP) and Strikeouts (308 SO). In 2018, Chris Sale had a 2.11 ERA. The stats speak for themselves, Sale is top Fantasy option as a pitcher and I cannot wait to see him return to the Red Sox lineup.
