New York sports betting markets list both the Yankees and Mets as the next best teams in each the National and American League of Major League Baseball. Just a month ago, the Yankees had the best record in baseball, but the month of August wasn’t pretty for the Bronx Bombers as they went 10-18.
Dodgers or Astros Better Favorite World Series Bet?
If we’re looking at the top two on the boards, I am looking at what a path might be like for each team to win the World Series. Even looking at the odds boards here, the only big threat for the Houston Astros is the New York Yankees in the American League. A team that just went 10-20 for one of their worst months since 1991. The Dodgers always seem to run into a hot team, even when they are clearly the favorites and have found a way to lose in the playoffs.
Current MLB Playoff Teams
American League
1 Houston
2 New York
3 Cleveland
W1 Tampa Bay
W2 Seattle
W3 Toronto
National League
1 Los Angeles
2 New York
3 St. Louis
W1 Atlanta
W2 Philadelphia
W3 San Diego
From these potential matchups, I would much rather put my coin on the Houston Astros to win the World Series. Playing the winner of an Atlanta and Philadelphia series is a real issue for the Dodgers, especially if they have to play the Braves for the third year in a row.
Sell High or Buy Low on Blue Jays World Series Odds
The Toronto Blue Jays are currently the 6th lowest odds to win the World Series at various Ontario sports betting apps, and are barely hanging on to a playoff spot. As much as I love the Jays, you are legitimately burning away your hard earned money if you want to put your futures on this baseball team.
They Blue Jays are one of the most confusing teams in all of baseball, but continue to struggle against teams with a record over .500, and once you get to the playoffs, those are the only teams you are going to face. I want the people to make money from these blogs, and I want the Blue Jays to win a World Series more than anything in the world, but unfortunately, those things will not go together in the 2022 playoffs.

Best World Series Pick Heading Into MLB Playoffs
I still think the New York Mets at +500 is my favorite play before the playoffs. Good pitching usually doesn’t go away. deGrom, Scherzer and Edwin Diaz are incredible arms who have some good playoff experience. On the offensive side of the ball, they are running off of Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor and even the resurgence of Jeff McNeil has been electric. If I was given a free play on this World Series future I would be placing it on the New York Mets.
