Tampa Bay Lightning Stack
Schedule: VS. BOS / @ NJ / @ BUF / VS VAN
Nikita Kucherov, $38,800 ($9,700 X 4)
Kucherov officially returned from his injury that he suffered at the start of this season and looked back to his old self. He logged over 17mins of TOI and gathered 15 fantasy points. Kucherov is obviously among the elite in the NHL, so I would for sure take advantage of this discount price for his production. I fully expect Kucherov’s price to increase for next weeks contest.
Brayden Point, $32,000 ($8,000 X 4)
Everyone knows elite players help their teammates produce more. Point gets a significant boost in value with the return of Kucherov. He plays line 1 and PP1 alongside Kucherov.
Victor Hedman, $$30,000 (7,500 X 4)
Similiar to the reason above, the Lightning’s powerplay as always been among the league’s best when Kurcherov is healthy. As of right now, the Lightning powerplay is ranked #15 behind BUFFALO! This powerplay should be among the top 5 with Kurcherov back.
Lawson Crouse (Sleeper Pick)
Schedule: VS NSH / VS TOR / @ COL
Lawson Crouse, $11,700 ($3,900 X 3)
Crouse is having a good season for himself tallying 16 points in 31 games. He’s found his way into the Coyotes powerplay 1, which is surprinsingly not worst in the NHL. Crouse is seeing more TOI than his usual set amount, he now finds himself over 17mins consistently. I think he’s a very cost effective option for anyone’s lineup.
Goalies
Mackenzie Blackwood, $30,900 ($10,300 X 3)
Projected starts (3): @ CLS / VS TB / @NYI
The value with Blackwood here is off the charts good. Blackwood has 4 wins in his last 5 games, tallying an average of 18.6 fantasy points. It’s looking like Blackwood is starting to find his groove and will look to continue this with two easy matchups. I love the matchups against the Blue Jackets and Islanders, it pains me to eat the matchup against the Lightning, but Blackwood should see a lot of shots.
David Rittich, $9,500 ($9,500 X 1)
Projected starts (1): VS BUF
Rittich is a great flyer for anyone looking for a 1 goalie start. Rittich, who is considered one of the better backups in the NHL is slated to start against the Sabes at home. This year, Rittch is 3-1 with a 3.04 GAA.
