Use these player salaries as context for building your Week 3 OwnersBox lineups. With salaries being set each Monday, they cannot be changed. Injuries and depth chart movement has impacted the value of these players salary significantly.
- TJ Hockenson has looked like one of the leagues best tight ends through 2 weeks. He’s the primary target for Jared Goff, being used all over the field. The Ravens have let up some big tight end games so far against Kelce and Waller, and I don’t expect that to change with Hockenson. With 8 receptions in each of the first 2 games, Hock is a PPR monster and reliable pick with upside at the position. Even though his salary is on the rise, he’s a great pick this week.
- On the cheaper side of things, Dallas Goedert against the Cowboys is a solid start. Zach Ertz is dealing with covid and might be out for the week. If that’s the case, Goedert has the middle of the field all to himself. If you’re looking for a cheap option, Goedert definitely isn’t a bad pick.
- The tight end I’d look to avoid this week is Rob Gronkowski up to $5,600 after 2 great weeks. Gronk has a whopping 4 touchdowns through 2 weeks, making his value the highest it’s been in years. He definitely won’t continue performing anywhere close to the level he’s been playing at so far, and I think we’ll start to see that against the Rams. If he loses those touchdowns, he doesn’t have the receiving yardage upside to return value.
