Use these player salaries as context for building your week 2 OwnersBox lineups. With salaries being set weeks in advance they cannot be changed. Injuries and depth chart movement has impacted the value of these players salary significantly.
- Usually stacking a backfield would be a bad idea, but this week I love stacking D’Andre Swift ($6,500) and Jamaal Williams ($4,900) of the Lions. This team is likely going to get blown out early, but if they’re able to do anything like what they did against the 49ers, Williams and Swift will be the guys to get them back in it. The two combined for 20 targets and 16 receptions in week 1 and were the focal points along with Hockenson in the passing game. Expect more of the same in week 2.
- All the way down at my RB25 I have Saquon, and for good reason. He didn’t look great in week 1 against the Broncos, and now the Giants have another tough matchup on a short week against the great Football Team front 7. Likely still feeling the effects of his torn ACL, Barkley is a complete fade at his $6,600 price point for me.
- Ty’Son Williams looked really good against the Raiders in week 1, enough so to continue being the lead back in that offense. With a matchup against the Chiefs, I expect a shootout where we could see multiple TDs out of Williams. At just a $5,000 price tag, he’s one of my favourite cheap plays of the week.
