3 Bang For Your Buck Players for Week 3
QB – Derek Carr, $6,000 vs. Dolphins
Here we are, back again, selecting Derek Carr as the QB you need to choose. First things first, Carr is less expensive than Trevor Lawrence, Baker Mayfield, Matt Ryan, Joe Burrow, and Jameis Winston. I would select Carr any damn day over any of those quarterbacks I just mentioned. In the last two weeks, Carr has thrown for 817 yards with 4 touchdowns. He is in the legitimate conversation for early MVP, and has led the Raiders to a 2-0 record. Carr is going against a Dolphins defense who just got obliterated by the Bills, and yes, Xavien Howard is one of the best in the game for the Dolphins at corner. Still, Carr has weapons all over the place with the elite speed of Ruggs and the physical freak Darren Waller. I may select Carr every week if he keeps going for such a low salary cost. It’s a no-brainer.
RB – Saquon Barkley, $6,400 vs. Falcons
The time has come; we will see Barkley be a top-five running back this week against a brutal Atlanta Falcons defense. Returning from Injury, Barkley has struggled to get going and not to mention his terrible offensive line that allows him to get smacked as soon as he touches the ball. I think a running back can be good or bad even if they’re not overly talented because it all depends on the guys up front; if they suck, the back could stink. In recent memory, Barkley was the most impressive back I have seen coming out of college. He is just electric on the field and can do things similar to the GOAT at RB, Barry Sanders. I have been a Barkley truther since he entered college at Penn State, and this week against the Falcons will be his blow-up game this season. The Falcons give up a ton of yards, and I can see Barkley hitting at least 100 rushing yards with maybe 50 receiving yards and a touchdown. Barkley will finally get the touches he deserves. Swift, Ekeler, Mixon, and Harris are all more expensive than Barkley, and I would take Barkley all day every day this week ahead of them.
WR – Cooper Kupp, $6,500 vs. Bucs
Call a spade a spade; I never thought Kupp would become who he has been these last two weeks. I wish I knew earlier that Kupp and Stafford ate breakfast every morning together, haha, but all jokes aside, Kupp has been the best receiver in football this season. He is not the most physically impressive player, but his stats would say he is the best at his position so far this season. Kupp is in the top 3 in both receiving yards and touchdowns, and against the Bucs horrific pass defense of late, Kupp will do the exact same damage this week as in previous weeks. Tom Brady and the Bucs will score, so Stafford will have to throw a ton, and his favorite weapon is obviously Kupp, so expect him to put up some insane stats this week and be ready to land high in the prize pool.
