Everyone knows the value top end players can provide you, and hitting on them is very important. However, winning in salary cap contests is heavily reliant on hitting on these cheaper guys to throw in your lineup. Finding a diamond in the rough is the piece that can put your team over the top, so here’s 3 undervalued players for your week 10 lineup.
Devonta Freeman ($4,700) – Freeman has started to take over this backfield with Latavius Murray out. Since the Ravens play tonight, I don’t expect them to rush him back, and Freeman should serve as the lead back once again. Over the past 5 weeks his snap percentage has increased every week (8%, 27%, 30%, 40%, 58%) and he saw a season high 15 touches against the Vikings. The ball will continue to be spread around, including Lamar getting his 10-15 carries, but Freeman seems to have a pretty safe floor in this offense. He’s been very efficient with his touches too, averaging 5.7 yards per carry, so he doesn’t even need that many touches to be a value at his low price.
Brandon Aiyuk ($4,600) – One of the biggest disappointments to start the season, Aiyuk has finally started turning it around. He’s finally ‘becoming a pro’ and has reestablished himself as a staple in this offense. Over the past 2 weeks he’s averaging 15.1 fantasy points and 7.5 targets per game. He’s only had 3 fewer targets than Deebo over that span, as Deebo’s been dealing with a bit of a calf injury. This is Aiyuk’s chance to have another great 2nd half of season like he did in his rookie season. Assuming Jalen Ramsey focuses his attention towards Deebo, the ceiling is high for Aiyuk this week against the Rams.
Tyler Johnson ($3,700) – The Bucs are loaded at the wide receiver position, but Antonio Brown has been out the past few weeks with an ankle injury and Chris Godwin popped up on the injury report yesterday as well. AB won’t play and Godwin’s status is uncertain, which means Tyler Johnson is in line for a much expanded role. He’s the clear WR4, and has seen between 65-70% of the snaps with AB out. Should Godwin not play as well, Johnson should see close to every snap in a great matchup against the Football Team this week. With a price under 4k, Johnson is a ridiculously good value this week.
