2 Undervalued Players – Conference Championship
We are coming to the end of another NFL season, and this is your second last chance to crush a DFS slate. I’m going to take a look at two players who are undervalued for this weekend’s conference championship games.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire $6,000 vs. Bengals
Edwards-Helaire is finally back from a month-long break from a shoulder injury and had a nice performance against the Bills last week. He was attacking holes with speed, being decisive with his cuts, and looked dangerous when he had the ball. He finally looked healthy. The numbers themselves aren’t crazy impressive as Clyde ran for 60 yards on 7 carries and only 1 catch for 9 yards. As a Chiefs fan, it had been long since I saw Clyde run that well.
Now, why do I want to target CEH this weekend? Jerick McKinnon does most of his damage in the passing game, kind of like a JD McKissic and Antonio Gibson share. Darrel Williams cut up the Bengals for 24 fantasy points in their Week 17 matchup, with only 3 receptions. I think Clyde can find the endzone multiple times on Sunday, which could very well see him as the RB1 on the slate. The upside is high enough for me. We just need the volume.
Tyler Higbee $5,200 vs. 49ers
Obviously, we are limited in our options when we only have two games to choose from, so hitting on your players who are above slot are critical. Tyler Higbee is another player I think can be the number one option at his position this week. In his last 4 games, he has only had less than 7 targets once (the volume is there), and the last time he played the 49ers, he was able to find his way into the end zone twice. He has averaged 17 fantasy points against the Niners and has 3 of his 5 touchdowns on the season against them. Higbee will be a big target for Matt Stafford in the red zone as they try to corral Cooper Kupp.
If the Rams stay committed to throwing the ball, Tyler Higbee should have some fantastic value this week.
