2 Quarterbacks You Need For The Divisional Round
There are only 8 Quarterbacks left in the playoffs so there isn’t too much to dig through, but I’m here to help you find an edge in this week of the playoffs. Unfortunately, you’re going to need to find most of your value in the flex positions as we are fairly limited in who we can choose here.
Joe Burrow $6,800 @ Titans
My thought process was to try and find the best possible outcome for some quarterbacks as cheap as possible. I am not intrigued with what Jimmy Garoppolo has to offer, and Ryan Tannehill should be limited if Derrick Henry is in fact playing this week. That leaves us with Joey B. In a game where I think the Bengals could trail for a good part of it, especially if the Titans control the clock on the ground, they should be throwing the ball a ton, and that is all we want.
Burrow played well last week, but some inefficiencies in the red zone limited his fantasy output. I like what Burrow and his receivers are going to be able to do against the Titans, who have been ok against the pass this year.
Matthew Stafford $6,600 @ Buccaneers
343 yards, 4 TD and 40 fantasy points. That is what Matt Stafford did to the Bucs in week 3, which was his best game of the whole season. The Bucs boast one of the best run defenses in all of the NFL when they are healthy, and Sean McVay should game plan for the Rams to attack through the air. The Bucs DVOA for both pass and run are outside of the top 10.
Stafford should be able to afford you a safe floor if you have him in your builds. Should he avoid the turnovers, we could look at a 25+ point performance.
Usually, these articles are driven by analytics, but to complete the best build of your lineups, I believe it makes sense to take two of the lower-priced options to build the best set of receivers you can. Hitting on those longshots at your other positions can put you in the money. Good luck.
