Must Add: Fantasy Basketball
If you’re struggling in your fantasy basketball, here are three players you must add to your roster. With COVID-19 and injuries, there are many players getting an opportunity to play more minutes making them a valuable waiver wire add.
Thad Young #30
55% rostered (ESPN), 54% rostered (Yahoo)
8.7 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 3.5 APG
A must-add this week is Thad Young. With Jakob Poeltl out for at least two more weeks, this is a good time to take advantage of the waiver wire. He is someone that normally wouldn’t be rostered high in fantasy but he’s a great temporary ad if you need a shooter. He’s averaging a 63% field goal in only 16 minutes of playing. He also contributes to points in rebounds, assists, and steals. If you’re in a cats league, he would be someone I recommend picking up for now. Young is averaging 20 fantasy points per game and has an opportunity in the next few weeks to add more fantasy value. If you are in a 12-team league and are looking for a short-term player to fill your roster, for now, Thad Young would be a good investment to your team as he’s finding his way on the spur’s offense.
Nicholas Batum #33
35% rostered (ESPN), 60% rostered (Yahoo)
10.3 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 1.6 APG
Nicholas Batum is a must-add this week. Batum could be a long-term investment to your team. In his last three games, he is averaging double digits and has at least 1 steal. He is finding his way on the clipper’s offense and is seeing more minutes on the court. He is a seasoned vet who can provide value in multiple categories averaging a 53.3 field goal percentage, 6.3 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 27 fantasy points. This is his highest-scoring season since 2017-18, his potential in fantasy this season is high. He would be a good pick-up that will be appeal to your team and later down the road could have a good trade value for your team for Normal Powell or Tyrese Maxey. If he is still available in your league, you need to pick him up.
Bones Hyland #3
17% rostered (Yahoo), 1% rostered (ESPN)
9.1 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 2.3 APG
Bones Hyland is a must-add this week. The Nuggets are playing three games this week with two of them at home. The rookie guard is seeing more minutes on the court. Last game he got 18 points, went 4 for 4 in three throws, and had 2 steals. With Wil Barton and Austin Rivers being day to day, Hyland will emerge as an important part of the Nuggets offense. He’s scored double figures in his last three games and contributes to multiple categories. Bones is a consistent player that could help you win week to week.
