NBA: 3 Players to build your lineup around (All players are priced on a per-game basis)
If you want to win BIG, here are three players you need in your OwnersBox Basketball Fantasy lineup that will bring you into the payout zone.
Chris Paul, PG, PHO ~ $7,200 per game
You can select Chris Paul for $7,200 a game, the most effortless selection ever. Paul has led the Suns to an undefeated month in November, which is unbelievable. Even at his age, Paul can still produce and score against the top-level players in the league and is considered an elite talent himself. CP3 is averaging over 34 fantasy points in his last few outings. Paul is averaging over 10 assists a game, and with the improvements that Ayton has made, Paul’s assists continue to rise. His points per game have been solid, averaging around 15, but Paul’s rebounds are starting to rise in recent performances without Booker. The Suns may be the best team in the league, and Paul is still a top point guard, leading his team to fantastic success. Select CP3 for $7,200 per game, don’t look back because you will not regret it.
Nikola Vucevic, C, CHI ~ $7,500 per game
Nikola Vucevic was slow to start the season, but since his return to the Bulls after his battle with COVID-19, he has looked solid, especially in his game against the Hornets, where he had 50 fantasy points. Vooch is an All-Star, and people seem to forget, and honestly, after how he started this season, I understand. Vooch needed a game as he had versus the Hornets to find his rhythm. If you watch him play, you will notice his field goal attempts were either too short or too strong. The Bulls require Vooch to play at a high level if they want to go deep into the playoffs, but he has the right teammates to succeed. Vooch is averaging around 35 fantasy points per game. As long as he can continue to improve his field goal selection along with his aggressiveness, we could see Vooch produce a ton for the rest of the year. At his fixed salary price of $7,500 a game, select Vooch because his upside is close to any other center in the league.
Anthony Edwards, SG, MIN ~ $8,200 per game
Anthony Edwards is a choice where you hope for a home run and will hit it with at least one game during the Contest of the Week. Edwards has some off days, but he will get you many points that others for a similar salary cost simply cannot. Even if Edwards has a rough shooting night, he will make up for it with rebounding and assists. Yes, Edwards is a score-first player, but we are seeing him evolve into a more multi-talented player who wants to win and will give it all to do so. At times, the two main concerns for selecting Edwards are that he makes poor shot selections and often turns the ball over when being sloppy. If Edwards can be more careful with the ball, he would be a top player in the league. Don’t be too concerned about selecting Edwards for your salary cap lineup, as he has incredible upside that not many others possess.
