NBA: 3 Players to build your lineup around (All players are priced on a per-game basis)
If you want to win BIG, here are three players you need in your OwnersBox Basketball Fantasy lineup that will bring you into the payout zone.
Malcolm Brogdon, PG, IND – $8,200
Malcolm Brogdon has been a very consistent player this season. He is highly underrated and forgotten at times, which is shocking because of his productivity. Brogdon is very active on the floor and sets up great situations where his teammates benefit from. Brogdon averages 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists while being one of the better defenders at the point guard position. Brogdon has averaged 36 fantasy points in the last three games, and I do not see that coming down. Having a player who is not that far from averaging a triple-double with limited turnovers is a fantastic selection for your fantasy lineups. So select Brogdon as a must for your salary cap lineup in the NBA Contest of the Week.
Anthony Edwards, SG, MIN – $8,400
Anthony Edwards is a selection where you are aiming for a home run. Edwards may have off nights and look mediocre but, when he is hot, he will get you a ton of points that others for a similar salary cost simply cannot. Even if Edwards has a rough shooting night, he will make up for it with rebounding and assists. Yes, Edwards is a score-first player, but we are seeing him evolve into a more multi-talented player who wants to win and will give it all to do so. At times, the two main concerns for selecting Edwards are that he makes poor shot selections and often turns the ball over when being sloppy. If Edwards can be more careful with the ball, he would be a top player in the league, but for now, don’t be too concerned about selecting Edwards for your salary cap lineup as he has incredible upside that not many others pose.
Montrezl Harrell, PF, WAS – $7,200
Montrezl Harrell has quickly become one of the best bench players in the league, and he is already in the conversation for the 6th man of the year. Harrell provides a huge spark off the bench with his never-ending work ethic on the floor, and his ability to fight off larger players is always impressive. Harrell provides a significant scoring upside with a large number of rebounds, guaranteed. For what he produces on the floor, Harrell is well worth his cap price of $7,200, as he is having a standout season this year. Harrell is averaging 18 points per game along with 8.5 rebounds and 3 assists. For a big man coming off the bench, he does all you can ask. Harrell is a fantastic selection because he is consistent every game and not afraid to do high-energy plays to get the team going.
