2 Value Hitters – SuperFlex MLB DFS (Friday, April 22)
Happy Friday! We have lots of action on deck in MLB today. This article will pinpoint 2 value plays for the stacked Friday slate!
#1: Chris Taylor (Infield) @ San Diego Padres
Opposing pitcher: Nick Martinez
My first value pick for the slate tonight is Chris Taylor. Taylor and the Dodgers head down to San Diego for a heated weekend series against the division-rival Padres. The Dodgers are looking to keep their hot streak rolling today and I think Taylor has a plus matchup tonight against Nick Martinez. Taylor, who’s hitting .314 this year, has been able to get on base consistently as of late. Over his last 6 games, Taylor has averaged 8 fantasy points per game. I always lean towards Dodgers players in matchups with the Padres. Taylor has been a guy who has had success against the division rival in the past and I think he can keep that trend going tonight. For $4,400, I suggest throwing him in one of your infield slots today.
#2: Adolis Garcia (Outfield) @ Oakland Athletics
Opposing Pitcher: Adam Oller
Adolis Garcia is a guy I really feel strongly about tonight. It’s funny because he’s only hitting .182 on the year, but in the OwnersBox format, home runs and RBIs are categories you want to load up on when building your lineups. Looking at recent performance, Garcia is averaging 12.25 points per game in his last 4 appearances. Tonight he has a plus matchup against Adam Oller who looked rough in his first outing of the season. If you follow me on Twitter, you would know that I usually fade the A’s and take the opposing team’s players in my lineups. The A’s are down bad and I think Garcia and the Rangers can put up a good amount of runs tonight. Garcia should be in one of your outfield slots today!
