Week 9 is here and I’m going to give you some receiver options to anchor your lineups. If you have been paying attention to fantasy numbers throughout the first half, you would have noticed that we may be shifting away from the big point totals we’re used to running backs giving us and focusing on more receiver based builds, so finding three guys to anchor your lineups is very important. For my builds in the receiver position I’m targeting teams who are poor in Defensive Pass DVOA. Here are the 3 players to take in your OwnersBox week 9 NFL DFS lineups.
These players will also be priority targets when playing the new Lightning Lineups game on OwnersBox. Lightning Lineups is a unique user-vs-house game where the player is presented with three lineups of three players each. If you don’t like the lineups presented to you, you can spin the wheel to generate new matchups. All you have to do is select the lineup you think will score the most fantasy points. You can increase your payout by adding more opponent lineups and earn up to 6x your money!
Tee Higgins $6,200 vs Carolina
Tee Higgins has had 24 targets in his last 3 games, and that’s a lot of what you need to know. Higgins seemed to be in a smash spot against the Browns last week, with Jamarr Chase being ruled out, but the pressure was too much for the offensive line and Joe Burrow didn’t have much time to get the ball out. Now, we get post hype Higgins in a good matchup against the Panthers. The Panthers have the 27th ranked passing DVOA, and are giving up 6.6 yards/pass while sacking the quarterback at the 3rd lowest rate in the league.

The Bengals are throwing the ball 65% of their plays, and have a 69.28 completion % which is 3rd best in the league. Let’s go back to the well on touchdown Tee this week.
Christian Kirk $5,600 vs Raiders
Christian Kirk has been a target magnet the last two weeks. He has racked up 17 from Trevor Lawrence in the last two weeks, although not returning a huge upside in the fantasy point department. This is the week where we see it boom for the first time since week 2. The Raiders have the 31st ranked pass DVOA, are giving up the 3rd best completion percentage, and get to the quarterback the worst in all of the NFL.

For as much grief as we give the Broncos, they are a great defensive unit, but the Raiders are nothing close to their AFC South foes. I expect the Jaguars to be able to move the ball a lot better in this game, and have Christian Kirk heavily involved when they do.
Darnell Mooney $4,900 vs Dolphins
Justin Fields really seems to be making that next step before our eyes, and what do the Bears finally do to help with that? Acquire Chase Claypool. As much as I think Claypool can help this offense, I don’t think they’ll have enough time to integrate him into a large part of this game. Mooney is averaging 7.5 targets a game over the last 3 weeks, and hasn’t scored a touchdown all season. With Claypool as another target for DB’s I expect Mooney to eat.
OMG DARNELL MOONEY ONE-HANDED SNATCH 😱

As good as the Dolphins have been this season, they have struggled in the secondary. They rank 29th in pass DVOA, 28th in opp yards/pass and 31st in opponents completion percentage. The addition of Bradley Chubb should help in the pass rush department, but I think Justin Fields should be able to feed Mooney the ball to make him worth a spot in your DFS lineups this week.
