Week 12 of the college football season is here, and we have a huge PAC12 After Dark game on Saturday. The #10 Utes are 8-2 on the season, while the #12 Ducks are also 8-2. This game is being played at Autzen Stadium at 10:30 PM EST and will be broadcasted on ESPN. We’ll take a look at the Utah vs Oregon odds to see who has the upper hand. This line opened as Utah being an underdog for the first time this season, but the odds saw a massive shift with questions about Bo Nix’s availability this week.

Utah vs Oregon Odds

Team Moneyline Spread Total
#10 Utah Utes -125 -2 (-110) Over 61.5 (-110)
#12 Oregon Ducks +105 +2 (-110) Under 61.5 (-110)

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook!

Maryland sports betting markets have settled in on the Utes as 2-point road favorites in this one. Despite Nix’s status being up in the air, Oregon is 4-1 against the spread at home this season, with their only loss coming last week both against the spread and straight up to Washington.

Utah Betting Outlook

This Utah team is back to being very balanced on both sides of the ball, and not a team you are going to want to play at this time of the year. Their two losses have come on the road in week 1 against Florida and then a ten point loss to UCLA. Autzen Stadium isn’t a friendly place to play but Utah is 1-5 in their last 6 in Eugene. The Utes have the 17th ranked scoring offense, and the 26th ranked scoring defense. The defensive unit isn’t as good as years past but it can still get the job done.

Cam Rising has lead this offense once again and has done a solid job holding on to the ball with a TD/INT rate of 19-4. Tavion Thomas is leading this team on the ground with almost three times the attempts of the next closest player for 7 TD and 5.1 YPC. Dalton Kincaid is one of the better TE’s in the country and he leads this team in REC, YDS and Touchdowns from any of the pass catchers. This offense runs the ball 56% of the time for 206.1 yards/game which is 17th in the country. Rising is a completion machine, completing his passes at a top 30 rate in the nation for 7.7 yards/pass.

Cole Bishop leads the team in tackles, and Clark Phillips III is 2nd in the country with 5 INT. This team is much better at stopping the run than the pass. They are only being run on 29.3 times/game for 130.2 yards. They are giving up 7.7 yards/pass but are very good at getting pressure on the Quarterback, with a top 10 sack % in the country.

  • Utah are 12-1 SU in their last 13 games against an opponent in the Pac-12 conference.
  • Utah are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games on the road.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Utah’s last 5 games against an opponent in the North Division division.

Oregon Betting Outlook

This huge line movement would suggest to me that Bo Nix is leaning towards not playing this week, due to a leg injury suffered against Washington last week, although he came back in for the last drive. If Nix isn’t able to play, it seems like the team has nothing but confidence in Ty Thompson taking over the role and letting the Ducks cook on offense.

Bo Nix has lead this Ducks offense to an 8th ranked scoring offense and a 2nd ranked unit with 519.2 yards/game. The 2 headed monster of Bucky Irving and Noah Whittington have the second best yards/rush in the country. Throwing the ball, the Ducks have the 3rd best completion percentage, and 8th best yards/pass in FBS while having their quarterback sacked the least of any teams.

The Ducks Defensive unit gets run on the least of any team in the country at only 40.03% and 27.4 attempts/game. The Ducks can be exploited in the air. They rank outside the top 100 in opponent completion %, opponent pass yards/game and sack %.

  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of Oregon’s last 9 games.
  • Oregon are 19-1 SU in their last 20 games at home
  • The total has gone OVER in 7 of Oregon’s last 10 games against Utah.

Utah vs Oregon Pick And Prediction

These money splits are very interesting while trying to handicap this game. We’re seeing 63% of bets at DraftKings Sportsbook on Oregon, but 61% of the money is backing Utah as road favorites.

It seems as though a lot of the sharp money is on Utah to cover the 2 points, and I think Ty Thompson leaves too many question marks at QB. I do believe both teams will score, this could be another classic between the two super exciting teams.
