Michigan Betting Outlook
The Wolverines are the #9 rushing attack in the nation this averaging 243.2 yards per game, as well as the 2nd ranked offense in total scoring in points per game at 50. Averaging 489 yards/game is 14th in the country and are paired with the 9th best completion percentage and the 7th most yards per pass. There really isn’t much that this Michigan offense can’t do, and have every reason to think they can conquer their Kinnick Stadium demons.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Wolverines have the 6th best scoring defense at 11 points per game, and have the 4th best defense in terms of yards per game at 244. The pass defense is a lot better than their rushing defense, as they allow the least amount of yards/pass but get run on almost 35 times a game. To add on to this, the Wolverines have the second least penalties against them this season at only 2.3 per game leading to 21 yards.
Iowa Betting Outlook
The Iowa offense has stunk out loud to start the season. It seems week after week, their defense is finding a way to score more points than their offense. Their passing offense averages, 138.3 passing yards/game and 6.0 yards per pass. The Hawkeyes are running the ball 56.07% of the time, to the tune of 3.6 yards/rush which is 89th in the country.
The only reason the Iowa Hawkeyes have a pulse this year is their defensive unit. They allow the second least points per game, at 6.7, allow the third least yards/play and average 2.3 takeaways per game. As a home dog with an inspired crowd behind them, it should be interesting to see if they can show up once again.

I had a tough time thinking of what I wanted to take in this game before I saw this tweet thread, and then everything changed. The Iowa Hawkeyes are not the sexy pick here, in fact it’s disgusting. But Michigan has struggled at Kinnick, and if JJ McCarthy plays like he did last week, he will keep Iowa in this game.
