Kansas State Wildcats Betting Outlook
Kansas State has had three appearances in the BIG-12 Championship, with their sole win being in 2003 vs Oklahoma. All of these appearances occurring almost two decades ago.
Kansas State is entering Saturday with one of their best seasons in recent memory, a few close losses away from being considered a top 5 team in the nation. They have an outstanding rushing attack behind the versatile, Deuce Vaughn, averaging over 140 yards rushing per game.
One player still in question is that of Adrian Martinez, Martinez missed almost the entire week 8 game versus TCU. Will Howard has taken over since that injury and has put together some great performances as the backup quarterback.
No. 10 Kansas State is a virtual lock for its first New Year's Six Bowl, and nears the program's first Big 12 Championship Game in 19 years.
Ask Chris Klieman the key to success and he doesn’t hesitate.

The Wildcats and Horned Frogs faced off in Week 8 where TCU was able to put together a come from behind victory, winning 38-28. Kansas State led that game by eleven points at half, TCU held them scoreless in the second half and racked up three touchdowns to pull out the victory.
A brutal loss for the Wildcats but definitely the bulletin board material needed to prepare mentally for their second matchup this season.
TCU Horned Frogs Betting Outlook
Since joining the BIG-12 in 2012, TCU has only made one appearance in the Championship game. In 2017, TCU lost to Oklahoma 41-17.
Under Sonny Dykes first season as head coach, TCU has put together a historical 12-0 regular season record and enter Saturday with a chance at winning TCU’s first ever BIG-12 Championship while also punching their ticket to the College Football Playoffs. Quite the resume for Dykes first season under the helm.
TCU’s unbelievable season is summarized by a couple huge come from behind victories versus Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Baylor. In these three matchups, TCU had a less than 10% chance to win.
Behind TCU’s success is an endless list of talent on both sides of the ball. TCU averages 41 points per game because of a well-balanced offense, averaging 275 passing yards and almost 200 yards rushing per game.
Kansas State vs TCU Pick & Prediction
When teams face each other two times in the same year you can often expect for adjustments to be made on both sides. People often say, “It is tough to beat the same team twice in the same season.” And the Kansas State vs TCU betting odds show that, with TCU only being a 2.5 point favorite. But in the BIG-12, this may not always be the case.
- This is the 12th time that the Big-12 title game features a rematch of a regular-season game.
- Of the 11 previous, the winner of the first game won six of them.
- When the team who wins the first matchup wins by more than a touchdown, they also won the second game, four of the six possible times.
BUT as I have always preached, trends are not statistics. “For every useless trend you can find, there is an equal and opposite useless trend that contradicts it.”
With this game being at a “neutral” site, I like both offenses to thrive in this one. Deuce Vaughn should be a full participant which will give Kansas State a better offensive edge than the previous matchup. Both offenses have the advantage in this one. Give me points and explosive offenses!
